Shanika Simpson is a native of Milwaukee, WI. Her education started off as a graduate from John Marshall High School and later she attended MATC where she obtained her associate degree in Accounting. She is also a licensed home base child care provider with the Department of Children & Families and has recently obtained her certificate in the Women's Entrepreneurship Program at Cornell University. Other accolades include landlord and homeownership training while operating Next Generation of Leaders LLC.

Her work ethic started off with Pick N Save grocery store and later gained her interpersonal skills as an employee from companies such as JP Morgan Chase Bank and Northwestern Mutual. In 2021 Shanika shifted her career into the transportation industry by joining Milwaukee County Transit System as a Bus Operator with a recent promotion as a Payroll Specialist.

While not hard at work, she is a loving mother of two and enjoys the adventures parenting has to offer.

She is kind, ambitious, motivational in spirit and personality. 

She leads with resilience and embraces the willingness to learn. She has a fierce passion and drive to always stay committed to her goals and encourages woman empowerment through entrepreneurship.
